HOW will the exam be and your assignments
- Give a short presentation in class about SGDs and act as a discussant (or something else)
- Submit YOUR questions: If you were the professor what would you ask to understand whether the student has read and understood the article/chapter ?
Please study the materials on this portal, invent questions and then submit via the forms indicated in the learning materials. Check here your progress.
Deadline: a few days before your exam: I need to assess them! - Written part in the PC-LAB provided by UNIPI (see below):
multiple choice and open answer questions on
a) the readings (and classes)
b) you are required to know all numbers and names of the SDGs
c) you will be asked to present and discuss two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The specific SDGs will be randomly selected from the six that you have chosen that you have chosen to study in-depth. - Oral part: it will start from your written exam. To be taken in the same day, if possible. If not possible, we will agree another date.
MARK
Immediately after completion of the written preliminary quiz, you'll get an automatic mark of it.
HOWEVER the final mark will be given after the oral examination. I will ask at the oral exam ALSO some questions that you already answered at the preliminary written exam. The final
mark will include an assessment about your presentation, your discussion, your questions and your active
participation to the class.
Your oral examination will be short, provided that what you prove to
know at the oral exam is at least as good as your mark in the written
exam. Otherwise, we will need more time to understand the mark that you
"truly deserve".
Getting a good score in the written exam does NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL PASS THE overall EXAM. Pass/fail is uniquely determined by proving at the oral examination that
you reached some knowledge of the topics tackled in the Sustainable
Development course.
WHERE: In the computer lab (you do not need to bring your device)
HOW
1) you will start with a MultipleChoice quiz (30-34 minutes, 105 seconds per question). This is supposed to be mainly a self-assessment test.2) After that, you can decide to answer the OPEN questions or to improve your preparation and take the exam again in future calls.
3) After completion of your OPEN questions EXAM, I will need some time to mark it.
If anyone has serious reasons for completing the exam ASAP, I will mark first her/his exam and make the oral exam ASAP.
4) Then, an oral exam discussing the written exam will follow (probably in the afternoon)
PS: OPEN question exam will contain 5 (random) questions, on1) the goal that you either presented or discussed
2) another goal (out of other 4)
3) 1 random questions on topic 1
4) 2 random questions on the other topics
