Presentations
1) You have to prepare TWO short presentations (20 minutes MAX) each about a different SGD.
2) You have to work in a team with another classmate, who must be from a different university and speaks a different native lnguage then yours.
3) For each of the two presentations, you must work with a different classmate
4) Your objective is to teach your classmates, to tell them in an effective way what the goal is about.
Hence, EXPLAIN GOAL, TARGETs, INDICATORS and progress towards the goal.
After you need to focus on your country (or on companies https://sdgcompass.org/). To this purpose, you have to learn how the database at the UNSTATS.SGDS works and then extract some data on a few indicators that you find relevant to your country and make graphs using them. You must read those slide https://elearning.ec.unipi.it/mod/resource/view.php?id=5571 which are also explained in the video of this class: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WeSI1jUUoZWtkJ3IopCwYP5KgMuAXvRV/view?usp=drive_link
5) You MUST try the presentation in advance. To this purpose, you can use the MSTeams of the course.
6) If you want share a (very short) video I'll give you extra time, but you
have to know how to do (look on the internet if you have windows)
otherwise tell me in advance and I will show it.
7) Each team HAS to upload a single presentation (PPT or others) WELL IN ADVANCE. Save it as "SDG#_2023" where # is the number of the goal.
8) You also have to choose to study in details TWO other SDGs You will then
be a discussant of the presentations of your classmates. What
does it mean? You will have to comment the presentation, by highlighting
aspects that are not enough emphasised in the presentation (PARTICULARLY on the inconcistencies among targets or suitablility of indicators), or adding
other important issues, or just ask questions.
It is not allowed be that A presents and B discusses and B presents and A discusses
9) I will not give a mark to your presentation or discussion. You will write about the goal you discussed or presented + OTHER TWO at your choice at the final exam. Hence, nice presentations and discussions will help you at the final exam.
10) ALL MUST HAVE A LOOK AT THE GOAL before the presentation.
